Re: No admin console on Arcadyan KVD21 internet gateway.
georgem721 wrote: A clear response to this question (192.168.12.1 not opening the admin page) would be nice. I believe a recent firmware update for the Arcadyan gateway removed the browser based admin page (for what little it was worth). I think the gateway can only be controlled via the T-Mobile internet app now. It's discussed in other threads I believe.7Visto5likes0ComentariosRe: Add more LAN Ports
Others here might be more insightful, but I believe what you need is a gigabit internet switch. Something like a TP-Link TL-SG108. Not recommending that one specifically, but it's an inexpensive option from a reliable brand. We have a couple of very old switches in our office that have worked w/o issue for many years. One is D-Link and the other is TP-Link.There are also 5-port switches if you only need to add a few extra ports. Of note, I'm using the switches mentioned above on a separate network which is not connected to the T-Mobile gateway. So, I can't confirm that the switches work with the gateway, just assuming that they should.10Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: internet security key
There are more knowledgeable folks here, so hopefully this is helpful and, if not, someone will correct me. Although it's not always the case,I think in this instance, "network security key" probably just means password. So,if you are just setting up the gateway, it's one of the keys/passwords on the label on the bottom of the unit. If the unit is already setup, it should be the wi-fi password you created then. However, ifyou're trying to connect the T-mobile Internet app to the gatewayit would be the administrator password that was created when you did the setup. I think the two passwords (wi-fi and administrator)can be the same, but it's usually best if they're different.11Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: Firmware version 5G Gateway A
The support pages for the gateways list these as the latest, but there's a possibility that there are newer versions not listed yet. Arcadyan - 1.00.18 Sagemcom - 1.2.74 (might have been pulled -see below - prior version is listed as 1.1.52) Nokia -1.2201.00.0328 Note that I have a Nokia Gateway and still have the 0324 firmware, so not sure if it has been deployed yet. Also note that some users here have reported that the 1.00.18 firmware on the Arcadyan caused 5G connection issues. And, finally, the 1.2.74 update for the Sagemcom bricked over 30,000 devices, so they may no longer be pushing it out.25Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: How To Login with Home Internet Only
You should be able to use the phone number assigned to the gateway. To find that, use the T-Mobile Home Internet app. The number should be listed under "Internet line number" on the "Home" page of the app. Any text messages T-Mobile sends for confirmation should be visible on the gateway's screen. You can also use that number to sign up for T-Mobile Tuesdays if you're interested in that.95Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: logging into Internet gateway
Assuming you have the Arcadyan gateway or possibly the newer Sagemcom one, the only way to access the admin options is from the T-Mobile Home Internet app. For whatever reason,T-mobile removed access via the web page awhile ago. The configuration options for those gateways is very limited, but it was just as limited via the web page. In the app select the "NETWORK" tab. The options you find there are all that you get - Network name, password, frequency band, encryption. You can also create a new network (SSID) by clicking the plus sign in the corner. If you want greater control, you'll have to use a standalone router, but that comes with some issues and doesn't solve all problems. Search the forum for discussions relating to that.27Visto1like0ComentariosRe: wi fi password doesnt work
The sticker on the device should include two passwords. One is the administrator password and is probably the one labeled as "Password". The other is the password for the WiFi SSID and it might be labeled as "WiFi Key". Assuming you didn't create a new SSID and password when you set up the gateway, then you should use the WiFi Key. If you have the T-Mobile Home Internet app and you are logged into your router, you can find the password for the network by going to the "Network" tab in the app - clickon the network and then click on the eye symbol to the right of the password to show it.5Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Streaming Prime
Seems like this might be an issue with the gateway and the Prime app on the Google TV interface. Here's a recent conversation, w/o any solutions as of yet. https://community.t-mobile.com/gateways-and-devices-37/amazon-prime-video-on-smarttv-50481 Easiest solution might be to get a FireTV stick, but you might not want to incur that cost. As a workaround, I'm wondering if you could use the web browser on the TV to go to Amazon.com and then view videos there. Not sure if it would work and it would be a lot clumsier if it did.1Ver1like0ComentariosRe: Phone disconnecting from 5G Home internet
There have been some discussions in the past about this. I think Pixel phones were mentioned as the most likely to have the problem. Here's a prior topic I foundthat offers up possible solutions. https://community.t-mobile.com/tv-home-internet-7/home-wifi-not-added-to-saved-network-on-android-44078 Note thatI have no personal experience with this, just remembered others talking about it and searched for the prior discussion for you.8Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Purchasing a used Gateway
The interesting thing is the seller who has sold 178 of them over the last year with more still to sell. They are being sold as "Open Box". That sellersold some for as much as $250 back in February and is now selling them for $99. Seems like a liquidator, but if that was the case they would have had to have gotten them from T-Mobile.Or,I suppose, somebody could have stolen a truck load of them.10Visto1like0Comentarios
