Re: What do I need to know about taking a cruise to mexico?
Please, please, please! Do not assume that you can just use your phone on a cruise ship like you're at home. Unless you just happen to be made of money, you will greatly regret the mistake. Calls on a cruise ship normally cost $6/min and sending a text is 50c. The best practice is to put your phone in airplane modebeforeyou board the ship and don't take it out of airplane mode until you are off the ship. You can buy a WiFi package if you like and use WiFi calling. That's OK. Using your phone in Mexico is also OK.34Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: How can I decode my phone on T-Mobile ?
My advice is to get your money back from this "someone". The phone will only be usable on T-Mobile (US) and may be on the verge of being blacklisted. There are only three reasons why someone would not unlock this phone 1) ignorance or 2) not eligible 3) fraud. In the first case, the original owner can cure the problem. In the second, only the original owner can fix it by fulfilling the conditions for unlocking. In the third, there's little or nothing that can be done.21Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Device Unlock
It's unfortunate that so many non-US-residents are unaware of cellphone locking policies in the US. If someone I didn't know well offered to sell me a locked phone, I'd look at him like he was offering me a rattlesnake. In the US most phones are either subsidized by the carrier or are sold on financing schemes. They are locked to the carrier to protect their interests and can only be unlocked after the buyer completes the payment contract. I'm sorry to be the one to inform you but your chances of getting that iPhone unlocked are about nil.31Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Coverage from NC but i live in VA
What I think you are complaining about is the Internet geolocation, right? Well the problem isn't with T-Mobile, rather it's with the websites that assume that your physical location is the same as your IP address' registered location. This is an incorrect and frankly, lousy, assumption to make. There is no requirement in the Internet specs that physical and registered location have any relationship. The way that T-Mobile reuses IP addresses using multiple NATs it's almost impossible for there to be any correlation.16Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: New IPhone
I've helped my brother transfer his stuff from an old iPhone to a new iPhone. Basically there's an app for that. You start setting up the new phone and it will ask if you want to transfer your data from another iPhone. It leads you by the hand through the process.26Visto0likes0Comentarios
