Re: UPnP and XBox gaming
The gateways are so dumbed down, there's virtually no settings. I was told it was due to the monthly fee of only $40 or $50. You want port forwarding, sign up for the more expensive business account. It's been years and nothing has changed. I suspect it never will. There are too many non-computer customers who are challenged just plugging it in. T-Mobile has too look at the masses, not just a bunch of nerds. There is a 3rd party phone app, HINT Control that gives a handful of settings for the gateways.13Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Future improvements
Tmobile home internet gatewaysare basically hotspots dumbed down withvirtually no settings unless you hack it with HINT Control or something like that. To get to servers from external sources, you'll need something like Tailscale which is now built in to Channels DVR. Or if you have Plex, they use proxy servers and external access is possible.5Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: why TMobile home internet so bad
Have had home Internetfor over a year. On my 3rd hotspot (useless router.) My problem is the constant outages. Every single day it goes down. I work remote and this is unacceptable. They say 'cheap is sometimes expensive.' Couldn't be more true with T-Mobile home Internet. Am now exploring other companys. I know it's going to cost more but I'll gladly pay it to get out of this amateur joke of a service.2Visto1like0ComentariosRe: New T-Mobile gateway with antenna connectivity
I would love to request an exchange but alas…. "T-Mobile states "At this time, current Home Internet customers are unable to request a T-Mobile 5G Gateway (G4AR), even in escalated situations." So much for existing customer loyalty. Either way, the web interface is going to be just as dumbed-down as the rest of them. No settings, not even port forwarding or bridge mode. Here's to Double and Triple NAT! One would think after all this time T-Mobile would have addressed these issues. Nope, too busy laying off 5000 people.17Visto0likes0Comentarios
