Re: Anyone fed-up with horrible coverage from TMobile
Won't do much good but assist in having you ported. I've filed tickets for several of T-Mobile's 'Dead zones' that T-Mobile has claimed 'Verified 4G LTE', as well a 5G service. These areas get you …'No Service' or 'Emergency SoS' only on AT&T or Verizon. It's been 7 years, and their maps show 'more' coverage, yet …the service is still the same. Try before you buy. Wireless is notorious for this. Not everywhere is equal with all carriers. Don't buy the line of "we're deploying 5G and it will get better" - as it may .. but not always in all places. Their merge with Sprint shouldn't cause YOU issues .. that's for Sprint customers, mainly. Their 'apologies' won't fix the service. If T-Mobile 'billing/care' reps won't fix, escalate through BBB. T-Mobile upper levels will contact you, as they dislike the public rating that they're getting, and want to resolve the issue (i.e. will work for ratings). BBB customer reviews: 1.2/5stars22Visto11likes0ComentariosRe: why does T-Mobile suck
T-Mobile coverage and maintenance claim has been going on for …years. T-Mobile ERT/OEM has claimed in writing (escalations through BBB) that they have service in addresses given, but none can be found. Drive team as well as L2 advanced technical support teams have verified 'No Service', but T-Mobile keeps selling service as 5G / 4G LTE even with 'verified' listed in the past. Escalate though rep File BBB complaint (they will call you) For coverage issues, they'll probably attempt to give you a 'cell spot' which uses YOUR dsl/cable/fiber to make a short range (house range) cell tower, or tell you to use 'WiFi calling' If those don't work, they'll port you.17Visto5likes0ComentariosRe: t mobile now
Sadly, for many, especially those not in the city like LA or NYC (as the elite call it "flyover country), there are many places where service is subpar. For those looking to switch, I'd recommend "try before you cancel" your existing service. I know of many places even here near Los Angeles where there is 'No Service' on Tmobile, but At&,t and Verizon have 5 sites each, while Tmobile has one site 3 miles away on the other side of a 300' hill, and another 8 miles away a +2000' up into the mountains. If it doesn't work, don't wait for it, and suffer and n the meantime.6Visto4likes0ComentariosRe: G4SE Internet Unstable as of Tuesday 1.03.19 Firmware Update Problem. Gaming and VPN Connections Dropping frequently.
I'm on 1.03.19. This issue started about a week ago, and VPN locks up every 5 min or so (especially when on zoom). SSH / Zoom sessions are trashed, and this device becomes unusable. I haven't had this issue before (using since 2022), and upgraded to G4SE about 6 months ago. I've kept Spectrum _just_ for this reason (T-Mo only costs me $25 due to Xmas deal) Device speeds are good and last week went from 350-500Mbps to 800-900Mbps.21Visto4likes0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile USA, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back activations for Non-VoLTE phones
davidlikes2g wrote: I will be suing so much if 2G really does get shut down because 2G needs to stay to keep existing and new customers happy (new customers too when allowing activations for Non-VoLTE will happen again). New customers on 2G ? While I did enjoy the extra range that 2G offers (even over LTE 600) , it, like CDMA and even iDEN has hit the end of its road. Time to move to more modern infra. RIP GSM.6Visto3likes0ComentariosRe: Why charge a upgrade fee?
T-Mobile 'used to be' the uncarrier, claiming no fees or bundled services. They still use 'uncarrier', and still do sell unbundled, but promote their bundled services. Similarly, stores are basically an expense for sales. If you don't have Internet, how can you sign up for service ? Telesales ? Oddly enough, I can purchase through Apple/Samsung directly and save myself …$35. Stores are an expense, and I can understand sales attempting to recoup through these fees. I used to purchase locally at a store, but then they wanted fees. Ok .. I'll purchase over the phone …fees. Ok I'll purchase online …fees. Ok - I'll bypass and go through Samsung/Apple. Samsung gives better deals than T-Mobile does on exchanges as well ($325 vs $125 for the same device!)56Visto3likes0ComentariosRe: why does T-Mobile suck
Welcome to T-Mobile and their 'coverage' as well as support. I can call them any day of the week for a zero coverage area, and it will start with 'reset your phone', followed by 'we will refresh your network' followed by a 'reset of your network settings' - which clears WiFi/Bluetooth, followed by a SIM check. When all that appears to be 'not' the issue, I'll be told either There are upgrades going on in your area, causing issues The tower is down After asking for the trouble ticket (often never given .. but transferred to 2nd level) , you'll get a response (or dropped call) of a trouble ticket, which will be auto closed without a response (unless back doored to VM) without a fix, or issue. Ironically, if it ever gets escalated, T-Mobile 'OEM/ERT' will acknowledge the area as 'fair' coverage and attempt to claim that there is nothing to do besides port.9Visto3likes0Comentarios
