Re: How to disable WIFI on G4AR?
@nate_s, the Hint Control app in the Google Play Store allows you to disable the Wi-Fi. I've used it for my Arcadyan KVD212. I'm assuming it works with the G4AR gateway. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=hint+control+app&c=apps&hl=en_US&gl=US66Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: Is there anyway to use a separate Wifi mesh router (eg an Orbi) with the new TMO-G4SE

Hi @Greenhats, I'm assuming you are trying to make a wireless connection. Ihave a TCL Roku TV.Every smart TV is a bit different, butin my case the setup is Settings > Network > Set Up Connection > Wireless. It will then scan for available networks. Once you choose the "T-Mobile" network you would enter your network passkey. It should then connect to your network. Are you getting an error message after entering your passkey? There wouldn't be anything that needs connecting to the back of your TV, unless you are making a wired connection (Ethernet).14Visto1like0ComentariosRe: incorrect location on home 5G and 911 call location
@poiboy, if your cell phone is set to use Wi-Fi calling when you are at home, in your phone's Settings - Wi-Fi screen there should be a setting called something like "Emergency Address". That's the address the 911 dispatcher would see if you make a 911 call. I'm not familiar how the OOMA service works.2Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Gateway 5G G4AR
@TomR1945, have you tried adding a line using TMO's website?https://www.t-mobile.com/home-internet/eligibility?INTNAV=tNav:CheckAvailabilityIt might be worth a try becuase the stores might not be on the same page as the online site. If you can order a second line online, I believe that in the Nater Tater referenced video it is mentioned that in the ordering process a code shows indicating the gateway one is going to receive. If it is not the G4AR, one can cancel the ordering process. Again, it might be woth a try.12Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Buffering/weak signals in other rooms
@bocaboy2591, I watched the Nate Tater video some time ago and thought his hack was doable. Like you though, the wireless coverage of my Arcadyan KVD21 was good enough (with the help in one room of a TP-Link RE305 Wi-Fi extender)and I ended up putting, like you, my router away. So I never tried shutting off my 5G gateway's Wi-Fi. But, since @coooldadasked if there was a way to shut down the gateway's Wi-Fi ...🙂6Visto1like0Comentarios
