Re: How can I stop TMobile from installing crapware?
Thanks syaoran. I'll dig into that today. I just got the same crap installed again this morning, and need to make it all stop. Now I have a project for today. I'm also using private DNS through a Pihole, and need to go through the logs to blacklist some stuff. I think that might help too.9Visto0likes0ComentariosHow can I stop TMobile from installing crapware?
I just got my OnePlus 10Pro finally updated to Android 13 this week, and found a few extra T-Mobile bloatware apps on my phone, like AppSelector, Device Manager, Global Search, Kid Space, T-Mobile Diagnostics, T-Mobile Play, and (worst of all) MCM Client. These are all things I don't need, and am not able to uninstall them. I can't even disable most of them. I can force stop them, but many of them come back. Today, I got a notification from MCM Client that it had installed TikTok on my phone. I guess it's good that I was told that T-Mobile installed a major security risk on my phone, and I need this to stop. How can I get this crap off of my phone and be the only person who has control over my phone? T-Mobile is going to have to pay me an enormous amount of money for me to go along with this. Unfortunately, I got this phone on a payment plan, and I will never, ever do that again. It's not worth the sacrifice of security and privacy. So,how do we get this stopped?Solved5.6KViews1like9ComentariosRe: When will T-Mobile version of OnePlus 10 pro receive the OxygenOS 13 update?

So how about if T-Mobile tells their customers what bloat they're adding and why? If this stuff is delaying the release of a known-good version of firmware for the phone, there must be some reason. So @T-Mobile: What specific things are you adding to the OEM firmware? What value does that deliver to the customer? It's already stopping your customers from using their phones the way they want, so instead of just saying something meaningless like, "We want to ensure you have the best stuff," give us a list of things you're adding and what it's for.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: When will T-Mobile version of OnePlus 10 pro receive the OxygenOS 13 update?
So here we go into 2023 - what's the story on getting this update? If unlocked versions are getting updates, what are the specific reasons why this carrier version is still in development? This whole thing is disappointing. I needed a new phone and took the deal on this one from T-Mobile, and this is definitely the last time I'll everbuy a carrier-locked phone. I like the phone, but even the Android 12 version is still buggy and full of crap I can't uninstall. I'd love to have Android 13, and it's hard to imagine it will run well on this phone.11Visto1like0ComentariosRe: does anyone know when is OnePlus 10 pro getting Android 13 or oxygen OS13?
Umm, is say it was bad decision-making. The list time I've had a carrier version was the Galaxy S8, and that worked out pretty well. This time, I needed to replace a problematic phone and they were offering "free" trades for the 10 Pro. I'm stuck with it for a while, and not entirely happy with it. I've at least managed to disable a lot of the bloatware, but it's still buggy. It's been many years since I had a phone with stability issues, and this phone is not very good that way. I wouldn't mind getting a proper Android version update, and it's only a matter of time until I jump ship.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: does anyone know when is OnePlus 10 pro getting Android 13 or oxygen OS13?
Ok, I'll add an explicit ask: I got a 10Pro from T-mo, and it's still running Android 12. If I had bought the unlocked version, I'd be running 13 now. So why isn't there any indication from T-mo about when this device will be updated? Why is this even a question?4Visto0likes0Comentarios
