Re: Need to unlock a device? Here's some information to get you started.
best for all of us to write to representatives and consumer protection if the t-mob gets away with this, other companies will do the same the last t-mob rep I spoke to even said, that, "you will get the same from every company" not true, this is the first time a company lied about unlocking the phone now, have to wait 35 days for the refund on my "cell spot" months of complaining about BAD connections before they suggested the cell spot, it did NOTHING because the problem was our one local 5g tower doesn't work…does it really exist? I bet I'm going to have to fight for my refund… and, I was told I would not be charged for going over the payment period because they continue to not unlock the phone, something the last supervisors slipped upand admitted on speaker to all the workers and shoppers in the att store, he knew the phone was still locked, people listening turned and said "AH HAH!" but, they charged me anyway awful company of scam artists ripping off seniors like myself1Ver1like0ComentariosRe: Need to unlock a device? Verizon is pretty much the same..i think theirs is 50 days..might have changed.. ******** interesting, I've already received their "we'd love to have you back" mail, NO response to my complaint to them same from spectrum whose "retention" specialist used the same dishonest dialogue techniquesthat are defined as "emotionally abusive" in family counseling sadly, have had some issues with att, sloppiness in their communication, the account not set up to the account and features I chose and, poor connection with offshore reps with poor English, with two exceptions… still not as dishonest as t and s in years of dealing with dishonesty in both home and business, they set a new low they need to not send me more add, I'm being tempted to design a special t-mob voodoo doll2Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: TMobile, not unlocking phone and changing excuses, reasons
no mention was made of there being any payment due, I was not making payments on the phone they kept telling me “the phone is unlocked” I asked them about the eligibility requirements they said all was paid up…I was clear, they insisted the phone was unlocked the said all was fine, t-mob insisted the phone was unlocked when everyone, including apple, the people at at&t could see that it was locked… I even asked to be moved upline several times, thinking the lowly workers on the front line are missing something important…the people I was told were supervisors, were worse…the same failure to solve the problem with a tone of irritation that I would dare bother them and, more rude when I pointed out they were back tracking some lie they just told me I tried to reach the corporate office, I had to climb to that level with att years ago, but, no way to do what with t-mob failure at one level is all you get thank you for reminding me to write a documentation of the time wasted and the lies from their reps if there was some issue, they never mentioned it they kept saying “we show the phone is unlocked” while the phone said it was locked and that is what everyone else saw they need to pay me for the time wasted and the loss of money for having to buy a new phone to leave awful connectivity12Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Need to unlock a device? interesting information, thank you I laugh when our internet offers faster speeds, never had the faster speed be faster than the slower speed, told a lot of stories about that, but, never worth the difference in cost Sounds like I should have told them I wanted an unlocked phone? apple told me they don’t sell locked phones because, they are not the carrier att told me they phones are not locked by apple the issue is, as long and people don’t complain, we get scammed nothing changes until we demand better service and, more issues with t-mob than the locked phone, they LIED about local towers, I’d never seen the “sos” on a phone before unless I was really out in the wild but had happen several times in los angeles with t mob, lied about the “fastest connection ever” “oh, you have the slower plan, do you want to upgrade for $$ more? “ a half hour at t-mobile today to return the cell spot they say there is a lock on the account… wanting to make sure I will never consider them anywhere, any time… funny, I never had a problem switching a phone between verizon to att really scammed by the att>cingular fraud though and you are right, the bbb and ftc did nothing to help millions of customers then…people are so willing to be fleeced now1Ver0likes0ComentariosRe: Need to unlock a device? fireguy_6364 wrote: WedRow wrote: ….at it’s worst, the other carrier, never wasted my time like this do you meet all the requirements that are listed on the very first post? met them all and, they told me it was unlocked they have told me repeatedly it is unlocked even though my phone shows it is “carrier locked” the apple rep was able to share my phone and see that and told t-mob … hours today in the att store, hours of prevarication and manipulative sales dialogue still not solving the problem and, the same defections the only fun was I had t-mob on speaker phone so other customers got to hear it you should have seen their expressions the att reps pulled out the stops trying to assist even calling other specialists and talking to the tmob rep who was clearly not listening or, just falling back on his patter… I really resent the wasted hours and the money I lost on this but, I even tried calling the corporate office and ended up talker to another blather artist who told me tmob uses the latest software to see if the phone is unlocked and, blah blah blah, “the same software everyone else uses” yeah, and the apple rep and att rep used the same software and it shows them it is still locked what a total snafu of a company haven’t been scammed like that for years I will follow up with complaints to the utility commission and BBB2Visto0likes0Comentarioshow to I get past the reps lying to me and get my phone unlocked?
The last t mobile rep said it may take apple 24 - 48 hours to unlock the phone on top of they 48 hours it has taken tmobile… who initially told me “it’s unlocked” I’ve learned, apple has nothing to do with it running me around in circles is NOT adding anything beneficial to my opinion of tmobile poor reception, can happen with a company but they lied about the “three towers in your area” two of them old, one out of service the prevarications andthe generally thoughtlessness reminding me of the run around Ihad with the glitchy new phone tmobile want to make sure I NEVER consider them again?102Visto0likes3ComentariosTMobile, not unlocking phone and changing excuses, reasons
poor connection with TMob, trying to switch to another carrier called TMob, paid off balance for phone, told it was unlocked called other carrier (OC), they said the phone isn’t unlocked called TMob, they said it is, called OC, they said it isn’t, called TMob and merged reps, TMob says “it might take 24 to 48 hours for the phone to be unlocked” they agree to call me when the phone is unlocked so I don’t have to keep checking, the clock is ticking on making me pay a full month more TMob called this am, said “the phone is unlocked” I called the OC, they say it isn’t called TMob again, both reps, TMob says it is unlocked, OC says it isn’t TMob says, “it might take apple 24 - 48 hours to unlock the phone “ To this point, I have spend over four hours on the phone trying to deal with this very much like the hours and hours I put into dealing with the glitches with the first phone, supposedly rebuilt by apple does apple really unlock the phone? and, I gave them both IMEI numbers, the phone and sim card iPhone 13367Visto0likes5ComentariosRe: Need to unlock a device? Trying to switch carries from T-Mobile, unfortunately, poor reception here tm told me, phone is unlocked called other carrier (oc), they said it isn’t called tm, told me phone is unlocked, called octhey said it isn’t called tm and merged the calls, tm said ”oh, it can take 24- 48 hours to unlock phone” since I paid the balance of the monthly billing why not tell me that upfront? called me today to say “the phone is unlocked” called the oc, they said it isn’t called tm again with oc on the call, tm said they show the phone is unlocked but….. it can take apple a couple days to unlock the phone ??? the other reason I am leaving tm, the run around what do I have to do and who do I need to talk to get the truth on this issue? you know the other carrier would like to add a customer...so, I doubt they are stalling I wanted to bill tm for the run around I had over glitches in the new iPhone 13, resolving that took me hours and hours… and four 2 hour round trips to the apple store now, even less happy with them at it’s worst, the other carrier, never wasted my time like this2Visto0likes0Comentarios
