Cameron Janes is executive vice president and chief retail officer at T-Mobile, where he leads the company’s nationwide retail organization, including T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile stores. He is responsible for shaping retail strategy and operations across one of the largest retail footprints in the United States, with a focus on empowering frontline teams to deliver the customer experience T-Mobile is known for.

Cameron plays a central role in driving growth across core and emerging products by connecting retail sales, distribution and customer engagement. His team continues to evolve the retail experience as customer expectations change, while integrating physical and digital touchpoints across the customer journey.

With more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of physical and digital commerce, Cameron has built and scaled growth-oriented businesses at some of the world’s most innovative brands. Before joining T-Mobile, he served as chief operating officer and chief commercial officer at REI, overseeing end-to-end customer experiences across retail, digital and service channels.

Previously, Cameron spent 15 years at Amazon, where he led the development of the company’s physical retail concepts, including Amazon Go, Amazon 4-Star and Amazon Books. Earlier in his career, he had leadership roles on Amazon’s Devices and Digital Video teams, as well as at Walmart.com.

Cameron earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
