T-Mobile se destaca en los informes de Ookla y OpenSignal

18 de julio de 2018
Los informes publicados hoy por Ookla y OpenSignal muestran que los clientes de T-Mobile obtienen las velocidades más rápidas en todo el país.

Two reports published today by Ookla, the global leader in internet testing, data and analysis and by OpenSignal, the global leader for measuring consumers’ real-world mobile experiences, show that T-Mobile customers get the fastest speeds nationwide.

Ookla gathered more than 12 million actively initiated tests in the first half of this year from wireless customers across all major networks and OpenSignal collected more than 8 billion measurements from customers across every major network to rank the network performance of the major US wireless providers.

Ookla’s 2018 U.S. Mobile Performance Report shows that Un-carrier customers get the fastest speeds nationwide.

In fact, Ookla says “T-Mobile’s investment in LTE has made them the fastest carrier in the U.S.”

Un-carrier customers also took the crown for fastest speeds in 31 states and in rural areas and are in a virtual tie for first for speeds in the top 100 metropolitan areas.

And, OpenSignal’s State of Mobile Networks: USA report(only in English) ranks T-Mobile the clear winner in five out of seven categories, including 4G upload speed and download speed.

OpenSignal found that T-Mobile customers have the fastest 4G LTE upload and download speeds nationwide and get an LTE signal as often as Verizon customers do at nearly 94% of the time.

OpenSignal also shared customer experience data in 47 metropolitan areas. In nearly 60% of those, T-Mobile customers win or tie for first for 4G LTE upload and download speeds. And, Un-carrier customers win or tie for first with Verizon for 4G LTE availability in a majority of metro areas.

Ookla, the company behind the industry standard Speedtest, and OpenSignal gather data on experiences customers have with their own smartphones wherever they happen to be … at home, at work, or on the go - indoors and out. These types of results show a customer's true experience with a network and a network's real capabilities. Other methodologies rely on paid consultants simulating a user's experience or survey consumer opinion.

T-Mobile’s LTE network coverage has nearly tripled since 2015 and now covers 322 million people, almost every American.  Today, T-Mobile is rolling out 600 MHz Extended Range LTE at breakneck pace, expanding coverage and adding more capacity for customers.
