1 Star for the Phone and billing customer service- 5 stars for the T-Mobile store on Orangethorpe & Harbor. I cannot say enough good things about my in-person experience there! On January 23rd, I made the big (and honestly scary) decision to switch from Boost Mobile, a carrier I had been with since I was 16, to T-Mobile. I initially placed my phone order over the phone. The associate I spoke with, Mario, was kind and polite; however, I was told I would not receive the same deal if I went into the store physically. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case — I later learned I would have received the same deal in-store, but with a MUCH smoother experience. What followed was an incredibly frustrating week(s). My phone was supposed to arrive the following Tuesday (I was assured it was expedited), but UPS missed multiple delivery attempts. I spent hours each day (Tuesday through Thursday) trying to reroute the package. On Thursday, I was assured by another phone associate that my address had been corrected and the phone re-expedited, yet still no phone. By Friday, after another three and a half hours on the phone with customer service (and at one point being told I didn’t even have a phone order), I was beyond frustrated. Thankfully, one phone representative (possibly Gizelle or Gabriella) showed true compassion and tried her best to help. I got transferred over to someone who was COMPITENT, they did a refund and then recharged me for a completely new order…however 3/5/26 I am STILL WAITING ON THE FIRST REFUND OF $73.00 to hit my bank…no sight of it..despite it being promised to be refunded right away... I finally received my phone and WiFi device on Monday, February 2nd. I signed for the UPS package myself and followed activation steps… which should have been simple. Instead, on the phone I was told the cell phone was “stolen” and could not be activated. No one could transfer my old number from Boost. I wasn’t even provided a temporary T-Mobile number. It was the most confusing and stressful activation experience I’ve ever had. At that point, I decided to go into the store in person — BEST decision I could have made! Andrew and Maribelle (Store Manager) were absolutely incredible!!! They were patient, kind, and truly listened to understand , something that is rare these days. They were just as baffled by the situation as I was and spent nearly an hour and a half working through every detail with me. Even after Maribelle left for the day, Andrew continued assisting me and reassured me I could return if anything wasn’t resolved. He even offered to help set up my WiFi device. That level of service and accountability meant so much after the chaos I had experienced. Although there were still some lingering glitches (no fault of the store, they were correcting previous phone support errors), I returned on Friday, February 6th, and Miguel was just as exceptional. He immediately understood the situation, fixed the P1 and P2 line issues on my phone, helped correct my account name, assisted with setting up my virtual T-Mobile credit, and walked me through my WiFi setup. He explained everything clearly and made sure I left confident and fully taken care of. If anyone takes anything from this review, PLEASE GO IN PERSON. Do not handle major changes over the phone. The team at this store is professional, efficient, compassionate, and truly customer-focused. Maribelle , Andrew, and Miguel— thank you for restoring my faith not only in customer service, but in T-Mobile. As a brand-new customer, that means more than you know. View on Google
