Today, T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) announced its revival of #HR4HR (Home Runs for Hurricane Recovery) for the 2018 Major League Baseball (MLB) Postseason. T-Mobile is stepping up to the plate - again - by donating $5,000 for every Postseason home run to support hurricane recovery efforts by military veteran-led Team Rubicon. Plus, starting today everyone – T-Mobile customer or not – can make an impact by simply posting with #HR4HR on Instagram or Twitter. For every post, tweet or retweet using #HR4HR through the conclusion of the World Series, T-Mobile will donate $1 to Team Rubicon – adding to the millions already raised!

Following the devastation of hurricanes Maria, Harvey and Irma last year, T-Mobile raised over $4 million to support Team Rubicon and their disaster relief efforts. The Un-carrier started with #HR4HR during the 2017 MLB Postseason, raising $2.78 million thanks to the generosity of fans across the nation. This year, the Un-carrier reaffirmed its dedication to U.S. military and veterans during MLB All-Star Week and the T-Mobile Home Run Derby with #HatsOff4Heroes. Now, the Un-carrier is back at bat to make an even greater difference in the wake of Hurricane Florence.

Over the past year, MLB fans hit it out of the park by helping raise more than $4 million for Team Rubicon. And in the wake of Hurricane Florence, there is simply no better time than now to stand as one.

"Over the past year, MLB fans hit it out of the park by helping raise more than $4 million for Team Rubicon. And in the wake of Hurricane Florence, there is simply no better time than now to stand as one," said John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile. "That's why we're kicking donation efforts into high-gear and calling on all fans to join us again by making an even greater impact during Postseason. We won't stop serving!"

T-Mobile is once again partnering with fellow changemaker Team Rubicon, a non-profit organization that offers military veterans a chance to extend their service by directly helping those impacted by natural disasters. According to Team Rubicon, T-Mobile's #HR4HR support helped the non-profit launch 67 operations and deploy more than 2,000 volunteers - the majority of them military veterans.

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Team Rubicon volunteers helped muck-out flooded homes, remove downed trees and debris, and support recovery efforts in southeast Texas. Their efforts saved the affected families and communities $3.3 million in labor costs! And in Puerto Rico, Team Rubicon has rebuilt 308 roofs to date, benefitting 895 Puerto Rican residents, and is now launching a home rebuilding operation in Florida, where they will rebuild 30 homes impacted by Hurricane Irma over the next year.

In September, T-Mobile employees joined forces with Team Rubicon volunteers to rebuild damaged homes in Texas.

"T-Mobile's support of our mission has been critical to Team Rubicon's growth and impact over the past year," said Jake Wood, CEO of Team Rubicon. "Their contributions supported our initial Hurricane Harvey response efforts, and helped us make a long-term commitment to rebuild 100 storm-damaged homes in the Houston area. We couldn't be more grateful to T-Mobile for their partnership and their support of the broader veteran community."

The Un-carrier is also continuing its support of ‘Text to Give,’ enabling customers to donate directly to help those impacted by Hurricane Florence. T-Mobile customers can simply send a text and their donations will appear on their next month’s bill:

  • Text FLORENCE to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross
  • Text FLORENCE to 501501 to donate $10 to United Way South Carolina
  • Text HURRICANE to 20222 to donate $25 to Save the Children
