Have T-mobile Intenet but no T-moble phone number how do I log in?

I was able to fix this by calling T-Mobile's customer support line. I was told that the only way to resolve the issue when it happens is to make a new account and associate the number with that account, which the rep did for me, I haven't been asked for a phone number since. Call them and they should sort you out.
How were you able to do that if sign up only accepts T-Mobile phone numbers? Did you use the router's SIM phone number that can receive texts, but not mention it?
