How to qualify for "trade on Magenta MAX" offer

Earlier tonight I was trying to upgrade an iPhone 7 to iPhone 13 mini. We upgraded to Magenta MAX plan more than a month ago.  It says a couple offers are available "Get up to $1000 off with trade on Magenta MAX" which for an iPhone 7 should provide $400 off or "Get up to 50% off with trade" which should provide $200 off.  When trying to upgrade the line it always offers me the lower $200 off promotion even though I have a Magenta MAX plan and seemingly should qualify for the $400 off promotion.  How does one get the better Magenta MAX promotion offer instead of the worse non-Magenta MAX promotion offer when one already has a Magenta MAX plan?

    You’ll get the $200 and if you qualify you get the $200 over 24 months on your EIP.

     

    So it should look like this.  Phone cost $1,000 trade in happens you'll pay $800 over 24 months for the phone(33.33 a month).  The other $200 you will see a credit on your bill over the 24 months ($8.33).  So essentially you will be paying $25 a month for the phone for 24 months ($600).
