Random T-Mobile Diagnostics message of "test"
Random T-Mobile Diagnostics message of "test." Why would I receive this message and should I be concerned?

Something I find interesting is that I have the the Tmobile Diagnostic disabled. So even if this was a test, it should not have been able to bypass and post. Can you tell me what the heck this thing is really doing in the background if I hadn't given it permission via that app to do so in the first place. Getting really tired of apps saying they are doing one thing, like when you say NO do not listen, do not activate my camera and so on, and they still keep doing it anyway...

Interestingly I got it on my Note but my husband didn't get it on his Apple and we're on the same account.

Apple has better security features than Android, and less prone to hackers and inattentive employees.

Same. If these are pulled from Android's only - I'm trying to see the diagnostic value of it since the sample size is considerably smaller and most people are Apple products. I'm considering opting out of all of it but would love to know more from Tmobile first.
I love Android but it’s things like this that give me pause and wonder if I just switch to the outrageously expensive and basic iPhone because at least they actually protect customer information.

On March 7th, some Android users reported receiving a "test" message from T-Mobile Diagnostics. This message was delivered by accident and will not affect the device. We apologize for any inconvenience and, if you haven't already, feel free to dismiss the message.
It looks like there is more to this so called accidental "test". I did notice that when it happened my microphone indicator showed that my phone's microphone was turned on even though I didn't use any app that would require it. I had to restart my phone to get rid of the indicator, but I'm pretty sure whatever software triggered it now has full access to my device and can spy on us. Anything TMO can respond to the breach of our privacy?
