update from lg g8 thinq to android 11
Will the lg g8 thinq that went from sprint be updated to android 11?
11 hours after posting the above post, I received a notification from settings and in the Update area, Android 11 was ready to download and install. It took about an hour and it's up and running with Android 11. The only thing I can think of is that the update rollout was based on serial numbers. The phone had been left on overnight and the update notification happened during that time. It's a good feeling that such a good phone is on an updated OS after 2 years of ownership. (LM-G820TM)
they promised at least 2 updates even after announcing shutting down..how theyre going to pull it off and the time frame of this actually happening is anyones guess.
No recibo una actualización en mi LG G8 desde febrero 2021 y fue un parche de seguridad de ese mes, desde entonces mi teléfono no recibe absolutamente nada.
Tengo el LG G8 versión LM-G820um
Quisiera saber si tendré esperanza de poder recibir Android 11
My wife’s LG G8 ThinQ updated successfully to Android 11 a couple of days ago. Everything seems to be working. I checked for an update for my LG G8 ThinQ and it said “Your system is up to date” even thought it's still on Android 10. It seems strange to me why one phone got the update and the other did not. As far as I know, they are absolutely identical.
