Keep and Switch offer - are there strings attached ?

 Let's say I have a phone under contract with AT&T with a $800 balance. If I switch over to T-Mobile as part of the "keep and switch" offer, would I get a $800 prepaid card with no strings attac...

    You have to bring over an eligible make a model device that was on your AT&T account for at least 90 days. When you sign up for T-Mobile, you have to select one of our Magenta, Magenta Plus, Magenta MAX, or Essentials plans. The line that you are adding to T-Mobile has to be brand new and you have to bring your number over from AT&T.

    When it comes to the amount of time you have to have the line, the only timeframe I am seeing is that you are not eligible if you cancelled another line on your T-Mobile account within the last 90 days. That is something to consider if you are being added to a friend or family member's account that may have cancelled another line to make room for yours. If you are starting a new account, then it is a non-issue.
