locked phone question
hello everyone, i’m not from the US, but i am going there for a week, and i have a question:
i am buying a t-mobile locked phone, the deal is great, the unlocked ones are more expensive (by 200 usd, atleast on this used retailer). is there a way for me to unlock the phone when i am back to my home country? apparently, the pre-paid ones (correct me if i’m wrong) are 40 days long, however as i said earlier i’ll be there for a week, what can i do? thank you!

It's takes 365 days of usage on Tmobile towers or $100 in refills and 17 days of usage to be eligible for an unlock code.
Post paid is 40 days of usage on Tmobile towers.
