I literally live .2 miles away from the tower. I don't think it's a switching issue. But what you say about my IP and NAT does make sense especially since T-Mobile locks users out of DHCP settings and will not allow port forwarding. Very frustrating and lame.
2 miles means zip. any dip in performance will push you to another tower which zero idea how much further out that could be. gamer here and i couldnt even fathom trying to game on a network that uses towers instead of a hard line coming into the house. are you using wifi to connect you to the net or hard wired from the box to your computer/console? might try hardwired to see if it makes any differences..but i still think its the tower to home net that is the cause for issues.
