T-Mobile 5G home internet routing me to far away data center
I have been trying out T-Mobile 5G Home Internet and noticing that I am consistently connecting through LA (IP address is based in LA, geo location services think I am in LA) even though I am close to Phoenix downtown. This actually happens on both my 5G Home Internet service and on my mobile phone service.
This was happening with me a lot with my home internet, I called T-Mobile support they updated a few things on their back end and it now has me in the correct Metro now. I live in Central Iowa and it was having my location in the twin cities Minnesota.
If you're referring to speedtest.net results it just tries to find the best server possible so sometimes it does have me pulling a server in Kansas City.
