2 TopicsEthernet cable to wifi bridge compatible with Tmobile Home Internet
One of the issues with T-Mobile home internet is finding the right location for the modem. I have found one and it is working great. However, that means I need to move run a newethernet cable from the solar monitoring station to the new gateway. Can you buy a device that you can plug an ethernet cable into to convert to WIFI work with a T-Mobile home internet gateway? An ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter. I found one thatworks great. It is a TP-Link AC1200 model RE315 ($29 device) ordered from Amazon. Took a 2-foot ethernet cable from the solar monitoring station and connected it into the TP-Link device that was plugged into an electric socket. Much better for me than moving a cable that is several hundred feet. Plus, if I ever have to move the T-Mobile gateway, I don't have to run a new cable again. As a side benefit, my WIFIrange is extended since the device functions both as an ethernet to WIFI adapter and a WIFI network extender. My T-Mobile Home internet device is aSagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway.299Visto1like0ComentariosREMOTE WORK requirement Ethernet NOT "Wifi" connection?
Hi So I am getting into some remote work and they have said you need a "Wired" connection to the internet NOT "Wifi". So i have been perplexed by this Do they mean a BROADBAND connection to the house? OR just an ethernet cable from the modem to the computer? It seems to be the latter, (i hope) So I moved the can to my bedroom/office and took an ethernet cable.. (don't know if it is cat 5 or 6 or even a 4??) and plugged it in, hoping that fulfils the requirement for them. Thoughts? Does anyone have more information on this? It has been vexing me for weeks as I really need this remote job to make some moneyi n addtiion to my full time job.. Thanks468Visto0likes1Comentario
