static ip address
4 Topicst-mobile Home Internet - Location Issue
I live in Los Angeles County California, and the home internet is showing the different sites that I am in Las Vegas. This creates a problem from things like streaming YouTube TV, to access my local channels. Spent many hours with Home Internet (they act like they have never heard of the problem - yet I have seen some comment on this chat (doesn't T-Mo monitor the chat room, (another question for another day))). It was suggested that I wire my personal router into the T-Mo router, and at first it appeared to work but then when I went to You Tube it showed location as Vegas again, An hour on chat with You-tube (this person appeared to know what they were talking about) and he finally said that You tube uses your IP address to determian where you have access and since my was saying Vegas that all they can do. Anyone have any suggestions on a work around, I would hate to go back to Spectrum to solfe the issue.10KViews1like38Comentariosstatic APN performance
Is there a support channel for APN customers? I support my customers with Fixed Access Wireless devices and many use LTE with T-Mobilestatic APN's so they can do remote admin etc. Is there a channel I may use to log a ticket to check the performance or status of an APN? b2b.static is an example, lots of UP / DOWN IP connectivity. I would like to make sure I have covered all checks. thanks108Visto0likes0ComentariosThis network is blocked due to unaddressed abuse complaints, will a different router set to static fix?
Hoping someone can answer this for me. My household is continuously getting the "this network is blocked due to unaddressed abuse complaints..." It is now got to the point where we can make certain purchases. (i.e. Walmart website) As far as I understand this is all to common based upon how TMO runs their home internet. My question is, if I use something like Google Home Mesh Router system, hardwire the Google Mesh system into the TMO Gateway, change the Google Mesh Router from DHCP to Static, would that fix the issue or no? If no, sad. So sad. Could anyone help with some way of fixing this issue? My wife is getting angry because she can't shop online…Our bank account is looking nicer, but it's getting hostile within the house…=)338Visto0likes0ComentariosGateway static IP
I just got the 5G Gateway. There appears to be no way to control IP addresses assigned to the devices accessing the internet through the Gateway, therefore each time it is rebooted the IP address for any given device is likely to change. I have a WiFi enabled music hard drive that is accessed by a couple amplifiers in different rooms to play music from my stored collection. The access requires a consistent IP address. Until T-Mobile expands the user interface control to include defining static IP addresses for specific devices, I can not use the built-in router function. Fortunately you can hardwire an external router that has this function, like any of the Netgear routers. Unfortunately, the speed of service drops with this approach. It is still good, but not as good as it should be - dropping from 436MBps to 154MBps. It's still a lot better than the speeds I had with CenturyLink, but I would like to see T-Mobile upgrade their app to allow this IP address control. Others have expressed the same kind of need for various WiFi device-to-device communication.1.8KViews1like1Comentario
