Re: Is there anyway to use a separate Wifi mesh router (eg an Orbi) with the new TMO-G4SE

Right now I have the T Mobile Gateway with it's network & an ORBI router connected to it with its network.I think I understand what y'all have done. On the T Mobile Gateway you have turned off the wifi signal so it only acts as a modem. Ethernet cable runto Orbi router which I have 3 satellites connected. My question is do I use the ORBI app and use the ORBI and satellites in Router mode or AP mode? Are there any other changes I need to make in the settings? One thing I did notice was that when I had the ORBI router in Router mode I could edit the device names that were connected so I knew what was connected. Now with the ORBI in AP mode some devices show up on T Mobile wifi And some show up on the ORBI network, and there is no way to edit the name of the devices that are connected Hello. Very curious if you got this to work and your speeds. I like to play games on my pc/stream. But the 5g internet from my tmobile modem is horrible! My signal is not stable no matter where I put my router (basically up against the window where it pointed to the best connection) made no difference. I moved it into my office. I also use it for my online business which is okay since I'm not doing too much, but I wouldn't depend on it still. I keep getting 50-200 ping in my games which causes me to lag all over the place. Quite often. I had spectrum before but I was paying more than 2x what I was, rather thannow. I need more stable connection regardless.I hate this 5g latency. Anything that can help I'm willing to try but it seems like this setup might not even work if I'm hearing this right. TIA.6Visto0likes0Comentarios
