There are no devices to display
Is anybody else having the same issue as me where you cannot access the devices that are connected to your Wi-Fi through the T-Life app? I have tried everything multiple times (rebooting my router, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, factory resetting my router). And, yes, I've spent endless hours talking to customer support and they have zero solutions. I did a factory reset on my router yesterday and all my devices - connected and offline - showed up briefly, but have since disappeared, so I am yet again getting the "There are no device devices to display" message in the app.

T-Life advanced cellular metrics and HINT no longer showing LTE signal info.
For those noticing recent performance issues with the T-Mobile Home Internet 4GAR gateway, it is most likely due to the latest firmware v1.00.13 upgrade. With this upgrade, T-Mobile has transitioned to the 5G Standalone enablement. This is the process of deploying and utilizing a 5G network that operates independently of the existing 4G LTE infrastructure. Basically, no more LTE. I have been noticing issues since this upgrade with SLOW internet speeds, long web page loads, etc.. Even though the gateway is showing full bars, I can do a speedtest when I see these issues start and my download speed barely reaches 1Mbps. I've noticed this on my MacBook, iPhone, PC, you name it. However, when this occurs, I just turn the WiFi off on the device, turn it back on and the speedtest is back to normal with downloads reaching 400+Mbps. I thought I would share this because I have noticed an uptick in forum posts regarding these performance issues and after doing a little research, I'm pretty sure I have found the reason why. Even Bell users in Canada have been experiencing the same issues with their deployment to 5G SA. Catch-22 problem
Catch-22 problem Good Cell and Poor Wifi or Poor Cell and Good WiFi your choice. The TMO-G4AR Gateway performs well enough 80mips down / 10 up most hours of the day if the Gateway is in a Window. I get a better performance with the Gateway on a 6 foot step ladder in my driveway and my laptop wired. There is a design problem I get tolerable service with Gateway in my driveway but WiFi to the inside of my house it poor. I guess I could mount the Gateway on the roof with a plastic bag for weather protection and run an Ethernet cable to my own router. Can anyone recommend an external mount antenna with 20 - 30 feet of cable for this TMO-G4AR Gateway.

Home Internet and IRS free file fillable forms
I'm not able to sign in to the IRS free file fillable forms site to file my taxes when I'm connecting through my T-Mobile internet. I can connect through my work internet connection or by using a hotspot at home, but the same laptop over T-Mobile internet does not connect. Anyone else notice this problem?

Help resetting the time on my gateway???
My gateway through the app says it's an hour behind the actual time and I have tried any and everything I can think of to change/fix it but no luck. Does anyone know how to change it?

Another printer connetion to network
Hello, i just fixed my issue with the Canon TS330 not being able to connect to my network. i did not set up a second network to connect to. What i did was just change the setting on the main one to WPA/WPA2. My question now, that i have it set up to the network, can i now go back into settings and change it back to the WPA2/WPA3 and it still stay connected to the network? Thanks, JeffD

Old Sonos Play 1 to T-Mobile 5G Home Internet
I've been unable to connect this 10-yr old speaker since getting the Gateway. I read that if it won't connect wirelessly, then a temporary ethernet connection will do the trick. The setup takes me to the point where I connect the cable, and I wait for light to flash green. Eventually it flashes white and seems to start back at the beginning.

access router browsing history without being connected to the wifi
every time i put the IP address in the search bar it wont proceed. (unprotected site) or something to that effect. i can see in the metropcs app what phones are connected to the wifi but i cannot for the life of me get any further

Free Amazon Fire TV if you purchase internet
I switched my internet services from Xfinity to T-Mobile to streamline everything into one plan. During my research, I discovered that T-Mobile was offering promotions for switching and enrolling in auto-pay, which I found appealing. I opted for the Free Amazon Fire TV 2 series promotion, understanding that to qualify, I had to remain a customer for at least 60 days and submit my documents within 30 days. I met all these requirements. On March 17, 2025, I received an email from T-Mobile stating it was time to redeem my offer. I meticulously followed every step detailed in the email. Two critical instructions were to click on the pink "Redeem Now" button to access the proper Amazon site and to complete my order without leaving the checkout page, or else my promo code would expire. I entered the promotion code as instructed, but received an error message stating it was not valid. I did not navigate away from the page at any point. At 10:30 AM, I called T-Mobile for assistance. They instructed me to try entering the code without dashes, which did not work. T-Mobile's response was frustratingly inadequate; they told me to call Amazon, claiming they were responsible for the promotional codes. I was then given Amazon's phone number, which began a frustrating cycle. Connecting with a human representative at Amazon was nearly impossible, akin to searching for the fountain of youth. When I finally reached someone, they directed me back to T-Mobile. I called T-Mobile again, but was sent back to Amazon. During this process, three representatives hung up on me while attempting to assist, leaving me without clear answers. I decided to try Amazon's chat support, but after speaking to three different agents, each one transferred me to another without notice, forcing me to repeat my issue continually. I called T-Mobile again, and an agent transferred me to tech support without warning. Fortunately, Jennifer in tech support was the only one who truly attempted to help and went above and beyond to find a resolution. Unfortunately, she informed me that her managers insisted I contact Amazon once more. She assured me she would call back on March 18, 2025, to continue working on a solution. This entire ordeal lasted from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM, entirely due to the lack of training and knowledge among representatives from both T-Mobile and Amazon regarding their promotions and procedures. Additionally, the language barrier with Amazon's chat and phone representatives made this situation even more challenging. While I respect their work, it was frustrating to resolve such a straightforward issue. At this stage, I expect a resolution with Jennifer's help, as Amazon has shown little willingness to assist, merely stating they would escalate the matter without ensuring follow-up. If I do not get a satisfactory resolution, I will switch services and avoid Amazon in the future. This is not about impacting their business; it's about demanding the level of care and gratitude a customer deserves. This is all after dealing with at least 12 CS reps with 3 hanging up when I was put on hold. Unacceptable

5G TMO-G4AR Gateway Admin/Wifi Settings
I got a business account and 5G through T-Mobile. It seems they broke getting to your gateway settings via LAN, and make you use the T-Life app. Since my account is "for business" it won't let me use the app and directs me to the business page, which only has account information. I need to be able to change the settings in my gateway for my business. At the very least change the wifi settings. This device and account are useless to me if I can't get to an admin console. ¿Qué se supone que haga?

With this upgrade, T-Mobile has transitioned to the 5G Standalone enablement. This is the process of deploying and utilizing a 5G network that operates independently of the existing 4G LTE infrastructure. Basically, no more LTE. I have been noticing issues since this upgrade with SLOW internet speeds, long web page loads, etc.. Even though the gateway is showing full bars, I can do a speedtest when I see these issues start and my download speed barely reaches 1Mbps. I've noticed this on my MacBook, iPhone, PC, you name it. However, when this occurs, I just turn the WiFi off on the device, turn it back on and the speedtest is back to normal with downloads reaching 400+Mbps. There is a design problem I get tolerable service with Gateway in my driveway but WiFi to the inside of my house it poor. I guess I could mount the Gateway on the roof with a plastic bag for weather protection and run an Ethernet cable to my own router. Can anyone recommend an external mount antenna with 20 - 30 feet of cable for this TMO-G4AR Gateway. What i did was just change the setting on the main one to WPA/WPA2. I entered the promotion code as instructed, but received an error message stating it was not valid. I did not navigate away from the page at any point. At 10:30 AM, I called T-Mobile for assistance. They instructed me to try entering the code without dashes, which did not work. T-Mobile's response was frustratingly inadequate; they told me to call Amazon, claiming they were responsible for the promotional codes. I was then given Amazon's phone number, which began a frustrating cycle. Connecting with a human representative at Amazon was nearly impossible, akin to searching for the fountain of youth. Fortunately, Jennifer in tech support was the only one who truly attempted to help and went above and beyond to find a resolution. Unfortunately, she informed me that her managers insisted I contact Amazon once more. She assured me she would call back on March 18, 2025, to continue working on a solution. This entire ordeal lasted from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM, entirely due to the lack of training and knowledge among representatives from both T-Mobile and Amazon regarding their promotions and procedures. Additionally, the language barrier with Amazon's chat and phone representatives made this situation even more challenging. While I respect their work, it was frustrating to resolve such a straightforward issue. At this stage, I expect a resolution with Jennifer's help, as Amazon has shown little willingness to assist, merely stating they would escalate the matter without ensuring follow-up.
