I've gotten rcs to work on my iPhone 16 pro. Go to cellular turn off your e sim or physically remove it. Wait 10 minutes. Restart device. Then go turn it back on. Tried it and still no dice. I think Apple is giving you the run around if it's not working. It has been confirmed that it is the carrier. Just because Android had it for some years doesn't mean it is Apple. Case in point there are some Android phones that have had the same issue.
