Re: VoIP with t-home internet
I had the 4G LTE gateway for several years. It worked fine with bothGrandstream HT702 and Obi200 ATA VOIP adapters. I upgraded to the NOKIA 5G21 ("trashcan") and neither worked. Somepeople say they have used IP and other back-end equipment with it while others say they cannot. After hours with T-Mobile Home Internet techs, they suggested I try the ArkadyanKVD21 5G gateway. It works fine with my equipment. The GUI is very limited, so I cannot say whether users needing more advanced options would be able satisfy their needs. The 4G LTE gateway GUI had many advanced network specifications available, way beyond my skill level. [Note: The first KVD21 I had lost its Internet connection every few hours. I exchanged it quickly and without hassle at my local T-Mobile store. The replacement has been up for two days and seems stable and fine. Download speeds to my Cat6 cabled computer run between 70 Mbsp and well over a hundred. Upload speeds are not so stellar but adequate for my needs.]28Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Voip high speed gateway
It depends on which Home Internet gateway you have. I had the 4G LTE gateway for several years. It worked fine with bothGrandstream HT702 and Obi200 ATA VOIP adapters. The GUI is very limited, so I cannot say whether users needing more advanced options would be able satisfy their needs.[Note: The first KVD21 I had could not retain a connection to the internet. The replacement has been up for two days and seems stable and fine.]18Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: VOIP on high speed gateway
I recently installed the Nokia 5G21. It came reconditioned from T-Mobil ISP customer service. It has firmware 1.2104.00.0286 which is the second to most recent. I have tried both the Grandstream HT702 and an Obi202 with the latest firmware update without success. I have tried the Obi202 both directly connected to the gateway and connective via an Obiwifi dongle. In all cases, T-Mobile's admin app shows the devices. Obitalk shows the device registered with the VOIP provider both through its web portal and the device admin page. The VOIP provider (Voipo.com) shows both the Grandstream and Obi devices registered. Like others, I get dial tone, but no outgoing or incoming calls. Weirdly, the message waiting indicator did work when I left myself a voice message. All these devices worked fine on my old T-Mobile 4G gateway. I have seen much discussion of DHCP dynamic IP assignment versus static IP addressing, but do not see how to achieve that on the gateway nor why it would make a difference as the adapters are getting addresses that allow them to contact their respective web hosts.23Visto0likes0Comentarios
