Re: how to improve signal and speed on home internet¿
Initially I was on a tower with b41 and no 5G. Tower was a Sprint tower that has now been turned off. 50 down and 30 up. That was In September. It was much more reliable than the current. cellmapper only shows 2 n41 towers in the whole Chattannoga area. One downtown an the other east, northeast. All the n71 are along the interstates.13Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: how to improve signal and speed on home internet¿
I think I am experiencing tower congestion. Works great during the night but terrible during the day. if you know what a Raspberry Pi is there is software on GitHub called internet-pi. It acquires statistics on any internet connection. Mine is plugged into a Ethernet jack on the gateway.13Visto0likes0Comentarios- 8Visto0likes0Comentarios

Re: speeds
There is a way you can monitor your connection if you have some computer skills. Google geerlingguy internet-pi There is a cheap little computer called a raspberry pi It is a credit card sized computer that runs a version of Linux. Jeff Geerling created a software package that monitors your connection and runs Speedtest periodically. The data is dumped into a database. A web page on the Pi let's you see how the connection is doing over time. Jeff was using this with Starlink but it works here. On my gateway things look great in the middle of the night and not good at all during the day Dennis10Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Cannot get a secondary signal
I have the same issues. Tried a panel antenna but it didn't seem to help. Cellmapper just doesn't cut it. Have you looked at Ookla's 5G map? Google it. Supposedly it is from trusted sources and their own data. It is updated weekly. I don't know accurate the indicated cell tower locations are. Maybe this will help all of you. I really want this to work well. I want to kiss Spectrum good bye.25Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Slow 4G connection only, but only sometimes -- SOLVED
One more rant for the developers… Around 8% of males in the US are colorblind. Red-green. I am one of those. The color choices for the signal strength bars on the top of the can are terrible. Difficult to distinguish. I hate the combo red/green LEDs I can see it change color but can't tell you what it changed from and to Climbing down from soap box… Dennis13Visto1like0Comentarios
