Re: Home Internet - Open ports for external access

All I did was enable Meshnet in my Nordvpn app on my main host pc and whatever other device I wanted to connect to it. I already had nord so it was a no brainer. Granted yes you need nord vpn to make it work but it literally takes a few minutes tops and youre in hassle free. Didnt even need to do port forwarding. For me specifically it was a pc hosting sunshine streaming service so I could use moonlight from my nvidia shield for gaming. Worked like a charm. Even using my shield from states and thousands of miles away, all good Id imagine more issues hosting actual game servers on this, like rust palworld ark etc though. Cant say yet. Nice to hear that you got YOUR VPN to work but that does not solve the initial question or the reason everyone else is asking about. Your VPN is setup offsite and requires you to initiate the connection in order to open the port on the firewall. What I need and it appears a lot of other people in this thread is the ability to open ports on the firewall that is built into the modem so that a connection can be initiated from outside your network using specific ports.121Visto1like0Comentarios
