Re: Google Chat FeaturesRCS status stuck at: Setting Up, Trying to Verify my phone number
Thanks for the comment. Google Jibe worked fine prior with dual sime…the issue is that this is Tmobile RCS server, not the Google Jibe server. I have no issues with my sim in the Pixel using Google's server…works fine. When on an unlocked S22 series, the Google messages client defaults to the Tmobile carrier provided RCS server, with the "custom" samsung version of the Google Messages client. I don't even care about dual sim at this point, and I guess I shouldn't care about RCS, but we were using it with my family, and when it works, its very nice. This is why RCS sucks for now…it can't get acceptance when we have to go through hoops for such a simple thing. They should have never let the providers do their own servers.. I see AT&T users complain about their provider based jibe server as well.142Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Google Chat FeaturesRCS status stuck at: Setting Up, Trying to Verify my phone number
I am glad this trick has worked for others, but its not a fix for everyone. I have attempted multiple times to follow this and many other instructions to get RCS back on my unlocked Samsung S22 Ultra with no success. I have tried Esim, 2 new physical sims, reset the phone multiple times, waitied 8, 10, and 15 days…removed Google Messages via ADB, and used another for that time, just in case…tried beta versions of Carrier Services and Messages, and nothing works. I can pop the sim in one of my Pixel phones, and instantly I have RCS working, back to the S22 and nothing. The only constant here is that Tmobile is providing RCS services when the sim is in the S22U, and the Pixel is using regular Jibe server provided by Google. All of this started when I had eSim and Physical sim both going at the same time, and it worked fine for a while, but then quit when we started getting RCS server provided by Tmobile. There needs to be a way that TMO can reset a customer on thier RCS server via their IMEI or something, because mine seems perm stuck, and there is no way on the customer side to do it, other than buying a new phone or requesting a new phone number.96Visto1like0Comentarios
