TMHI is the lowest priority traffic on their cell towers, your phone the highest. A lot of areas have been oversold and are experiencing low data rates at peak tower usage times.

Re: Ethernet configuration
The Ethernet connection is (primarily) to connect your existing network of a router & switches and provide internet access. When you do that the gateway replaces the cable or DSL modem & your network addresses remain the same.

Re: Why does Tmobile force customers to use phone app rather than browser?
I'd just like to be able to turn the built in WiFi off. I just plugged the modem into my current network so I didn't have to deal with TCP/IP configuration again. Now it would be nice to turn off the WiFi in it.
