Happy Thanksgiving!

It is that time of year again when we prepare amazing meals and spend time with loved ones. Every year I have my own little debate. This year I figured I would bring the friendly debate to the Community.

Tradition or trying new things?

The traditional Thanksgiving meal is always delicious and something I look forward to for weeks. It can be stressful to make a meal large enough to feed that many people, but the familiarity holds a sense of comfort. And with the amount of leftovers.. the possibilities are endless!

Ever had the urge to put tradition aside and try something completely different? Shake things up and try a meal no one would expect. Go on a trip to see new sights. Or keep it quiet and casual with a simple movie and popcorn.

I'm curious to know what you prefer. Has there been a spontaneous change that became a tradition in your family? Tell us all about it in a comment below.

My girlfriend does not like turkey.  We usually have t-bone steaks as an alternative.  I like turkey so occasionally, I will make a turkey breast, gravy, veggies, roasted baby red potatoes, and a homemade cranberry sauce for myself when I am craving a more traditional meal.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  Have an amazing and safe holiday!

T-Bone steak sounds like an amazing alternative! The baby red potatoes sounds really good too. I always default to mashed potatoes, but roasting them would be an easy way to mix it up a bit. 😃

I usually do roasted because it minimizes what I have to have on the stove top.  Baby potatoes are also pretty easy.  I don't like peeling potatoes.  :p  Baby reds just need a wash, some olive oil, salt, garlic, and a bit of veggie seasoning for my tastes.
