T-Mobile isn't going to do a thing. Think about it. Make potential major changes which will affect every device just for a single device update, or Google making the changes to make it not break on a network. Google has done it last time. They've also done it quite a few times for Verizon as well as other country networks. Other OEMs do the same for every region. Better to catch it now than later.
