mobile not compatible with T Mobile works with wifi
I started a post that said: "buy t mobile prepaid card to travel to the US" and T Mobile told me that my phone was not compatible with them, but now what I would like to know is if I go with my current cell phone (which T Mobile says which is incompatible) and I go with my SIM that does not have roaming in the USA, when I am in a hotel and I connect with my mobile and my sim to the hotel's wifi, the hotel's wifi will not work for me either? I hope your help. Thank you

The hotel's WiFi might need a pass code or have a landing page you need to check in on before the WiFi works.

i would think wifi is wifi no matter what country you are in..shouldnt have anything to do with whos sim card is in the phone..heck you can use a old junker phone with zero sim card in it and use it only on wifi as a makeshift tablet..you just wont be able to make calls etc unless its through something like Facebook messenger or something that uses data only for calls/video calls.

so you can assure me that regardless of the fact that my mobile is not compatible with T Mobile cards or to receive T Mobile frequencies on the west coast of the US, in the hotel's Wi-Fi, if I connect through it, I will be able to navigate safely ? thank you

As long as your plan has wifi calling. Wifi calling doesn't use cellular bands.

There are se bands that we don't use in the US for WiFi, like 12 and 13, but 1 through 11 should be fine when connecting to WiFi.

no one in here can assure you of anything..but wifi is wifi..if you have traveled to any other country and used their wifi then i dont see how there would be any difference..if your device uses 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz for wifi then thats the same here.
where are you going on the west coast?

Sorry, I know that nobody can guarantee anything, I mean that if here in Europe, our family mobiles work well, and are "normal" although I don't know what bands they use if 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz for Wi-Fi, it is very likely that in Does the Hotel Wi-Fi work, regardless of whether they are not compatible with T Mobile? that's what I mean. We go to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

I don't know what you mean that my plan has Wi-Fi calls. Can't all mobile phones use the Wi-Fi bands? In my house my mobile uses the Wi-Fi at home. I don't know if this is important. But of course it is the wifi of my house in Europe, not the wifi of a hotel in the US

I am profane in this topic and I don't know which bands. I'm sorry but I thought that if a mobile works in Europe it works in the US (for Wi-Fi)

Why do you ask where I'm going? Is there a difference in coverage depending on the city?
