What is the oldest iPhone that will work on T-mobile after the 3G Shutdown?
I just tried asking this to T-mo support chat and they were unwilling to give a definitive answer. Is it really that hard to answer? Is it something like this:
Which iPhones will work after the 3G shutdown?
iPhone 5, 5c -- No
iPhone 6 -- Maybe
iPhone 6s -- Maybe
iPhone 7, 8, 11, 12 -- Yes

I have an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S that work fine on T-Mobile (4G LTE).

Thanks! But has 3G shutdown in your area yet? Maybe it's still working on their 3G network?

The screen shows “LTE”, so not on 3G.

Technically, if you don't mind dropped calls and really bad data, every iPhone will work in areas that retain GSM service. For practical use, I wouldn't use any iPhone predating the 6S. I think the iPhone 11 was the first that has all T-Mobile's current LTE bands.
