Why do I feel scammed?

This is the second time I've gone into a TMobile store to upgrade a phone and come home with more crap than I need. Last time I upgraded my husbands phone, and they added a 3rd line, saying it helped me get a better rate. This time, 2 years later, I upgraded my own, and ended up with FIVE, yes, five Trackers that I do not need, or intend to use. And yes, I still have that third line, too. 
This is stupid and I am tempted to go elsewhere, but the problem is ALL the companies pull this crap.
