Pause service

I have 5g home internet in Oklahoma that I love.  We go to Florida in the winter time for 6 mos.  Is there any way to pause service while we are gone or do I need to cancel service and re-apply when we return?

  • I love the planning mentality so you know exactly what should be done to avoid headache. Home internet accounts and lines can be seasonally suspended. They are 90 days each time and you can do two back to back within the 12 month period.

One thing that I want to make clear is that if you only have the internet line on the account and seasonally suspend the service, the default setting is to cancel it at the end of the 90 days instead of restoring it. That means that you will want to make totally sure that you are aware of what day the suspension ends and reach out the day before that to reset the suspension or activation.

    Hope this helps.

If it's like a phone plan you can do a seasonal suspension twice a year for 90 days but there still is a $10 monthly charge.

@HeavenM should be able to answer if you can do the suspension back to back.

The downside is that it won't be available to suspend the next year.
