Travel to Asia for 5 months
Any suggestions as to what to do with my account? Don't want to lose my account or number..
You can always put your device in airplane mode and use it on WiFi. You can also ask for a suspension. Whether or not 5 months is permitted, I don't know. Customer Care at 611 or reaching out to the T-Force Team by sending a DM to T-Mobile on Facebook or Twitter can give you some options. You could also port your number into Google Voice for the time you are away and then port it back to T-Mobile when you return.

Do you have anyone at home who is tech-savy? FedEX your SIM home every 2 months and have your friend insert it into a phone and download many GBs of cellular data then FedEX it back to you. Esta debería reset your roaming counter and your data usage. Might be worth a try.
