Bait and switch - misinformation from phone agent
At the end of September 2024 I switched from Verizon to Tmoble. I previously lived in AZ and moved to the country in WV. Verizon had better coverage, thus the reason for switching. I waited for the iPhone 16 to become available and went into the store to talk with representatives. I was not trading in my phone and I wanted to know what my options were. I was paying $83 a month at Verizon so I wanted to see if there were options to upgrade without a huge price difference. Two reps provided me with service trying to figure out the best pricing for no trade in. We discussed the cheapest plan and paying for the phone but they said the best bang for the buck would be the 5GNext because it included a cell phone and was $100/month. I would get a bunch of perks and not have to trade my phone in. I was surprised when I got my bill a couple of days ago. It was $250 dollars. Part of it was switching mid cycle but the other part was the $100 for the plan and $47 for the phone. I spent over an hour on my phone texting with a T-Mobile rep because my local store wasn't answering the phone. I called them 3 times and each time it rang approximately 8 times and automatically hung up. I feel deceived by T-Mobile. I'm in a non contract contact for at least 24 months.
