If your laptop is connected to the gateway with Ethernet, it’s not using Wi-Fi.
@Gbkaidrn I'm sorry I missed your reply to my post. I think you are confusing 5 GHz and 5G. 5 GHz means five gigahertz which is the frequency of the Wi-Fi signal the gateway uses inside your home. 5G is shorthand for "fifth generation" which is the description of the cellular wireless signal used outside of your home. You can connect your devices to the gateway through ethernet wired or 5 GHz wireless or 2.4 GHz wireless. The gateway translates them into various cellular wireless frequencies to communicate with the tower.
