IP Address and Geolocation - Shanghai, China
Periodically, I get an IP address in the range of 172.59.72.X, and this seems to get geolocated to Shanghai, China.
When this happens, my work's conditional access policy will block my login. Additionally, I noticed some parts of Windows, such as the weather and news flyout, will be in Chinese when this happens.
My work’s IT department says the geolocation data isn’t their issue to resolve, so I thought I would post it here.

I recently had the same problem with an existing subscription to the NY Times. I fixed it by using a VPN---I use Mullvad VPN, but any of them would work---and changed the VPN server to something close to me. That fixed the problem immediately.
All of the VPN providers have a free trial. Try downloading on and see if that doesn't fix the problem with geolocation.
