M2000 Port Forwarding
Hola all,
I ordered the 5G M2000 as soon as possible because I was fed up with super slow internet here in rural Florida. Upstairs the unit locked onto 5G and gave me 137+Mbps (yes!) and downstairs, it dropped to 9 Mbps, a problem to be remedied with a repeater. HOWEVER, no matter what I tried with port forwarding, I could not reach my cameras from the outside. This was not a problem with my current ISP and no problem with any installations I've done in the past. I'll give it another try in a few months, but for now, I'm sticking with my current ISP.

Their XLAT464/CGNAT approach to supporting the dual stack scenario breaks unsolicited inbound connections in the upper tiers... before it even gets to the modems.
Until they address this issue with their topoology, about the only way around it will be to do something like a VPN that can support such P2P traffic, as well as reserving a public IPv4 address... which, of course WILL cost extra.
