Tablets do not want to connect to T-Mobile home internet

I have not had a problem with my android tablet, but I have had a problem with my Apple iPad not wanting to connect every time it is turned off when I go to turn it on again I have to go to settings and turn the Wi-Fi off and then turn it back on again for it to connect to The Internet. I was told by T-mobile support it's an Apple problem and one of the iOS updates is going to fix it but it apparently after several update, nothing is changed and is still having to be turned off and on again in the settings before I can use it each time But T-Mobile insist. It's an Apple problem. I'm beginning to have my doubts. Just frustrating and aggravating.
