Switch Lite and VPN - Need help
I have the 5 G home internet. It's a black box. I think the model is Fast 5688W. I also have a Switch Lite and from my understanding my internet with T-Mobile gives me a NAT D type on my Lite which means I cannot go online to visit other islands in Animal Crossing or Online with anyone in any other Online Available game.
According to T-Mobile, they use dynamic IPs, so they change instead of staying static. From what I've garnered, Nintendo doesn't want that. I've Googled and found either I can add a VPN to the router (probably not) or set up my laptop as a mobile hotspot. Except I tried that and it didn't work. I was using Free Proton VPN.
I am willing to BUY a VPN plan if I can figure out what to do. I cannot use my cell as a hotspot as Metro charges for that and I don't want to pay for such limited GB.
What can I do to gain access to online or changing my NAT type?

The less expensive ones of course offer less so read what they do and then make up your mind on if you want to get one and which meets your needs. Express VPN seems to be a favorite but there are other options.
