UPnP and XBox gaming
I see complaints 6+ months old on the lack of UPnP and Open NAT (Port Forwarding) settings in the NOK 5G21 Gateways. Unable to use XBox with it. My Gateway came with the most recent software already ...
The gateways are so dumbed down, there's virtually no settings. I was told it was due to the monthly fee of only $40 or $50. You want port forwarding, sign up for the more expensive business account.
It's been years and nothing has changed. I suspect it never will. There are too many non-computer customers who are challenged just plugging it in. T-Mobile has too look at the masses, not just a bunch of nerds.
There is a 3rd party phone app, HINT Control that gives a handful of settings for the gateways.
