USB Access Point
I have the TMobile home internet and it works fine but the Gateway has no USB ports. Does someone have a suggestion on the best way to add USB ports (Preferably 4) Currently I am using a Netgear ro...
I agree getting a NAS and putting it on a resource where you can leverage it is best. I would hard wire the unit to a gigabit port vs. using the wireless. That is just me.
I use the USB port on the router to run a small laptop cooling fan I put under the router. I have no real indication to believe there is a heat issue with mine but I had the laptop fan just sitting in a drawer so I put it to work as the USB port powers it up just fine. It is more useful for this than for a laptop anyway. I had checked the USB port months ago on prior firmware/software and it was not working. When I more recently checked it with the 0178 upgrade I noticed it was working. I looked into the heat related issues as well but mine is a cool dude. So far.
