Ever since my 5G gateway's firmware update I have had very inconsistent internet, especially during games. Meanwhile, I can connect my device to my phone's hotspot and have a better online gaming experience. Isn't it running on the same network? Why is my phone's internet better than my gateway? It's sad because the gateway solved a lot of problems for me in my area. It's getting to the point to where I don't do the things I like to do anymore because the experience is so bad, and I'm heavily considering going back to my original ISP. At least the bad internet would be consistent! Does anyone have a fix? Should I exchange my unit, wait for an update, or just abandon ship? Thanks in advanceSolved330Visto3likes2ComentariosHow to Get Text Notifications for 5G Home Internet?
When I signed up for 5G Home Internet, I was assigned a T-Mobile telephone number for the gateway device - I get it. BUT I want to have my bill related texts sent to my actual cell phone number that is NOT T-Mobile. I went into settings in my T-Mobile account, and my gatewaytelephone number is there, but I can't add another number. Does that make sense? Can anyone help?109Visto0likes3ComentariosHome Internet Gaming Problem
I recently started testdriving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection. Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know anyway that could possibly remedy the situation? I'd love to keep the home internet, but one of the main things I use the internet for is games, meaning this service wouldn't work for me.25KViews19likes97Comentariospromotion issue
I am incredibly frustrated with the lack of progress on my T-Mobile rebate. I have been waiting for over nine months for a $150 prepaid Mastercard that I was promised when I signed up for 5G home Internet as part of a promotion. Despite my numerous attempts to resolve this with customer support over the phone, I have not received any updates and keep getting the runaround. This is completely unacceptable, and I demand an immediate resolution on the rebate and a clear explanation for this outrageous delay. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay in receiving a rebate? I can't believe it's been over nine months already.81Visto0likes1ComentarioWhy cant customers who have been loyal supporters since 5G home internet service started get tye new gateway with antenna hookups.
Hello my fellow tmobile 5g home internet users. I'm here to ask the question WHY ARENT LOYALTMOBILE 5G HOME INTERNET CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE PAID FOR ANDSUPPORTED THESERVICE SINCE TMOBILE RELEASED IT FOR USE TRADE THE OLDER LESS EFFICIENT OLDER GATEWAYS FOR THEIR RECENTLY RELEASEDNEWER GATEWAY WITH THEANTENNA HOOKUPS FOR THE MIMO ANTENNA THRY SELL OR LEASE, ESPECIALLY IF THE CUSTONER IS EXPERIENCING HORRIBLE SERVICE DUE TO ALL TYE NEW CUSTOMERS SIBSCTIBING AND THE ADDED BANDWITH USAGE BECAUSE OF IT. ITS NOT FAIR TO THE CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE WRITTEN THE REVIEWS AND TALKED ABOUT THE SERVICE THAT IN TURN CREATED THE BUZZ THAT MADE ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS THST SIGNED UP DO SO. What I believe is this, the first customers to sign up were ones like me who were desperate to get faster internet since they lived in a small town or rural area and nothing better was provided and then when all the people who already have options and good internet providers heard about it tmobile made a gateway that would insure they get speeds and service that could rival the other providers download speeds, but the loyal supporters get left behind just like always and our service and speeedd suffers because of all the new customers just switching to get cheaper no contract internet. As a consumer I find this shady as hell and a real diservice to those who tmobile said they were there for. I get 6mbs download speed now with my internet signal going out 7 or 8 times a day but at first I got a steady signal with 150 or more mbs. So I know my signal and speed cutting out and slowingare directly related to the amount of new customers being signed up. But tmobile will not accommodate its older customers and trade out their older gateways for the newer ones. Also I guess we all need to quit and resign up. I've already written the ftc and s tmobile executive has written back with excuses but hasn't offered me s new gateway. I will write the attorney general this time as no I will write the FTC again and let them know tmobile has the ability to give me a new gateway that will improve my Dino's snd speed to give me what I was told I was getting when I signed up. They sd that I should get at least 60 to 70 mbs speed download and up to 300mbs download. I haven't had 60 to 70 mbs download in a while. That's basically false advertising. Im tired of internet providers catering only to the wealthy or those who live in cities and are just lucky that enough people live around them because it's worth it to tmobile to provide s certain level of service and since I live in a town with 1700 or less I get the leftovers. When will tmobiles home internet tech become advanced enough that it warrants upgrading all gateways. Maybe never. Do we have to keep a gateway that is so old it can't offer the speed that tmobile advertises. Well that's unacceptable. Anyone wanting to start a class action or who already has please contact me. I'm ready to sue. I might take them to small claims to get a gateway that jived me what I was offered and sold.727Visto3likes9ComentariosDevice Monitoring
My router indicates there are 10 devices connected to my internet. When I checked on the T-Mobile app it only shows 5 devices. I've looked at this before & was able to manage who/what was connected & the router showed all the same things I was doing. What/where are all these other devices showing in the count on the router?75Visto0likes0ComentariosNeed help connecting Eero mesh with T-mobile internet
I've found many threads that discuss this, but none for those of us who are not tech savvy. 😉 Could anyone please IN PLAIN ENGLISH explain step by step how to set up T-mobile internet (trash can) with an eero mesh 2nd generation system? (Currently, two PCs in the home are connected via ethernet cords to the modem because our current wifi is terrible) I will be forever grateful for help! 🙏 I've spent hours researching this and am still lost...322Visto0likes0ComentariosArcadyan Gateway
I had to replace my gateway 2 weeks ago because it die suddenly. It will not power up.T-Mobile sent a replacement in just a few days. It was awesome, I was extremely happy with T-Mobile (here, a customer for 19+ years). What a disappointment.I connected as usual on 22MAR, and by the 23rd, I experienced no connection. I called on the 24th and took 75 minutes with the rep to connect. I was told a work on the towers was the culprit. Connection was down again in less than an hour. After many unsuccessful attempts, I called back the 27MAR to see if anything could be done to resolve this problem. Again, it was almost an hour and had no success. The rep advised to see if during the next few days, the work with the towers was completed, and I will start enjoying the service as in the past. I am no IT or wireless expert, but I am assuming that my cellphone uses the same towers as the 5G Home. The cellphone connection at home is flawless. As of today, 30MAR24, at 11:56 PM, I am experiencing total loss of connection. If I am able to connect, it is short-lived. From connectionstatus of "Excellent" 5 Bars, it will be replaced by a all-grayed graphic with a connection error message. The Gateway had traveled every window in my apartment. It has been positioned along the exterior wall, inch by inch and even traveled to the balcony, and cruised the balcony edge, from one side to the other, and it had been suspended out in the air beyond the balcony perimeter more than 10 feet of distance. In all that effort, it proves to be apparently the only object unable to connect to any tower in the surrounding area. If this was not an issue with the previous gateway, then I must consider the new gateway as the culprit, and perhaps one must consider changing the equipment. The tower idea is not making sense. Does anyone had experienced this issue??? Does anyone know a work around?134Visto0likes2Comentarioschoppy Chromecast volume
