2 TopicsTrouble mailing trade-in device from any Okinawa US Military bases.
I ama military memberstationed in Okinawa. Currently, no military post offices on Okinawa will let me mail out an iPhone XR for trade in. They said because of a recent incident where a lithium-ion battery exploded and caught other packages on fire in a plane, they will not allow anything with a lithium-ion or lithium-metal battery to be mailed out. They suggested I go off-base to a local Okinawan post office and they will accept it, but then that means the USPS shipping label that T-Mobile gave me would be useless and then the mail-out would be void. I also cannot remove the battery from the iPhone since that would void the trade-in (also since removing batteries from iPhones would brick the phone because of Apple's anti-modification policy). What do I do? I didn't think there was going to be such an issue just sending a phone with a fully drained battery out just to do a simple trade-in. I think off-base would be my best bet, is there a way I can tell T-Mobile I'm using my own label?Solved252Visto0likes8Comentarios
