5 TopicsPostpaid eSIM Updated w/Unrequested Changes
This pertains to a brand new iPhone 14. Since yesterday, I noticed that the cellular signal on thephone fluctuating rapidly, despite remaining static in the same room. In addition, I also noted the following: After a factory reset, and selecting "keep eSIM", the cell line does not engage during the phone setup after reboot. It only reads "SOS". The cell line is present after finishing set up though. This is divergent from baseline behavior, where the cell is active and can be used for activation. The cellular service cannot access the standard T-Mobile DNS servers when a proxy app is engaged for testing. This is also different from the baseline, where DNS worked with the proxy just fine. Using external DNS servers works, oddly enough. The Apple's built in Field Test tool ( dial *3001#12345#*) shows abnormal values, such as changing LOC values, which if i understand correctly, should be unique to every cell tower. I contacted support and there wasn't much they could do and recommended I contact Apple. However, the state of the eSIM is controlled by the carrier. Is there a baseline, or reference for nominal T-Mobile cellular line values? Is it possible to return the device for another model, since the eSIM has been likely compromised in some way, from the results of my analysis? Gracias89Visto0likes1ComentarioHelp! Device Manager is auto-iinstalling apps from ads
This is happening on the S24 Some games from google play have ads that auto download applications. I traced it back toT-Mobile's Device Manager allowing malicious ads to auto install applications. That's right, just watching the ad downloads an app. T-mobile has made it impossible to disable this app. I am fearful of this massive security hole. I am scared of malicious apps being downloaded. I have seen other complaints over the last few months What can I do fix this major security hole?1.1KViews0likes13Comentarios- 134Visto0likes2Comentarios
Urgently need latest SPL for corporate/work account compliance
Hi, My 250,000+ corporate employer just blocked all corporate network access to Android Phones without the most recent Android SPL May'22.Can we get this rolled out ASAP on Galaxy S10 (I currently have April'22 while Google has rolled out one for August '22 as well)? When can we expect it? Apparently the security issues found were so risky that Corporate IT acted immediately/urgently to require it (normally there's a rolling 1 to 2 month window after Google releases to require the fix). Was hopingTMobile would allow me staying compliant with prompt SPL updates but will consider switching to another network if this isn't addressable in a timely manner. Thanks for your consideration and help!285Visto0likes5Comentarios¿Aplicación antivirus?
A while back, I was using a security/antivirus app provided free of charge by TMobile. To the best of my knowledge, it was available for installation/use on all my lines on my account. I've found references to Lookout Mobile Security, but that is not the software I'm referring to. If I recall correctly, it was either a McAfee product or a Symantec product. Any idea regarding what I'm referring to? Thank you for any help!Solved34KViews0likes6Comentarios
