T-Mobile branded phone won't connect to Excess Telecom SIM. It only works on Wi-fi.
I was given a Cat S62 T-Mobile device and it will not connect to the mobile network. It works with Wi-fi only. I have an ACP SIM card provided by Excess Telecom whom uses the T-Mobile network although T-Mobile app doesn't seem to recognize the phone number. The SIM card works in other devices and the device is reading the SIM but refuses to connect to it. I have configured the APN, reset network settings, and factory reset the device many times to no avail. I have tried several apps to get details on the SIM issue and it says the phone number and that its t-mobile but also says "network name: no connection" and "sim state: disconnected". The card works in every other phone and no other card will work in this device either. The device says "unlocked" in the settings but when I press it, it says "analyzing" and then says to restart to apply the unlock. It does this everytime I press it so I don't know if it is unlocked or not but considering Excess Telecom uses the T-Mobile network it should work anyway. Unless T-Mobile doesn't recognize Excess Telecom for there seems to be no information regarding their affiliation. I know that the previous owner of the device claimed that it didn't always have this issue so it doesn't seem to be an issue involving Cat or Bullitt Mobile for the hardware. I know it isn't Excess Telecom because the SIM works just fine in every other device. Those devices are unlocked though. This one says it is but remains T-Mobile branded. I cannot seem to get any help from T-Mobile because they don't recognize my 10 digit phone number from Excess Telecom as theirs. The default APN settings in every single phone I put this card in says T-Mobile though. And All the SIM apps say T-Mobile too. On the T-Mobile website it says ACP is provided through MetroPCS and Assurance Wireless. Nothing about Excess Telecom using their service. So does anyone know whats up with Excess Telecom and their T-Mobile SIM cards that T-Mobile doesn't recognize? Or does anyone know anything about the Cat S62 device? ??2.4KViews0likes4Comentariosnueva sim
I livein The Netherlands and I visited the US to go to family. I bought a T10 franklin mobile hotspot in Coperas Cove. I needed that to be able to use my phone in the US. They told me that we could use it in The Netherlands too with any brand of simcard. I inserted my kpn simcard and it says : SIM PIN locked, to unlock go to http://mobile.hotspot. I tried it but I get the message that the site is not reachable. I used 192.168.0.1 and I could log in, but I can't do anything else. there is no way to to activate or unlock the simcard. can you help me here?147Visto0likes1Comentariosim card not working on and ofg
Hello, I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max with the same sim I got when I purchased the phone originally at T-Mobile. Recently the phone has randomly stopped recognizing my SIM card at time and will provide the pop up of no sim detected and I will have no cellular service. So far shutting the phone down for a few minutes remedies the problem and it boots up with data again. But I would like to know if this is a problem others have seen and how I could permanently stop it from happening.142Visto0likes1ComentarioSim card won't send sms, tested on 2 android devices
My wife's oneplus 7 pro the last 2 days won't send texts but receives messages ok. All other network related functions workfine, no sim card errors, etc. Tried all kinds of things to get working. I swapped my sim with hers. Using her device with my sim card, sending text msgs works. Her sim card in my S21 Ultra however, I get the same issue, no outgoing texts. So in my mind it's a sim card issue, not device related. It's just weird that only sms seemingly affected. Any ideas??71Visto1like1ComentarioSemester abroad and switching SIM cards
So I am going to be doing a semester abroad and I was wondering if there is a way to use a local SIM card from Europe but keep my phone number and my T Mobile SIM Card so that when I get back I can resume paying the plan and using it.332Visto0likes3ComentariosNo service with new SIM card, Sprint to T-Mobile
I've had my service for about 12 years now. Last summer I talked to the T-Mobile rep in a nearby city and was flat out told not to switch SIM cards because there was no coverage anywhere. This spring I had to replace my stolen phone and the SIM card is T-Mobile. I've called and gone into multiple stores, but stores tell me the towers are all the same now and a SIM card wouldn't help. Tech support says they'll send out a signal booster and a different SIM card, but it's been 3 months and they still say they're waiting on inventory. Sprint never had what you would call good coverage here, about .7mbps average for data, but if I left my house it was passable and I could at least stream Netflix most of the time at home. I stayed with Sprint for the unlimited data, but that's kind of a joke when you can't hardly stream a low quality movie. Still, it worked. At this point, I don't get enough service to make a phone call at home. Text messages come in days late if at all. Data usage is flat out impossible. That's at home. At work my phone is in a dead zone. There's zero function at all within 5 miles of work. The 70 miles between those 2 points is no better, GPS coverage is non-existent as well, navigation is so bad it can't even start the route. Mind you, I'm not in some insanely remote area. My phone stops working 10 min outside the capital of Michigan. I live 30 miles centered between 5 major cities in Michigan, the number 2, 3, and 5 largest population centers among them. At no point am I ever further from that and I'm almost always under 20 miles from a large city. In fact I can stand inside of 2 different T-Mobile stores in 2 different cities 40 miles apart, and it doesn't function consistently in either. I also started a second line in April, 2 days after supposedly Sprint and T-Mobile SIM cards were combined and Sprint only cards were phased out. That phone gets crappy service, but it's about what I expected from Sprint and the crappy coverage they provided. At this point, my phone is a paper weight everywhere I go and anyplace under an hours drive. What am I supposed to do here besides cancel my service?3.6KViews0likes1Comentario
