11 TopicsHotspot Usage when Not using Hotspot | Tidal running slow
I wanted to share my experience in case others are facing a similar issue: I received a new Samsung S24 in February. Since then, I've been receiving notifications about exceeding my hotspot data usage, even though the hotspot is turned off. This seemed strange. I reported this to T-Mobile support, but they kept pointing to their system showing I was using hotspot data and advised me to turn it off. Additionally, I use Tidal for music streaming. Recently, I've been unable to stream music using mobile data as it was extremely slow or wouldn't load at all. Today, after receiving another hotspot usage message (indicating I exceeded the 5GB cap without using the hotspot), I noticed my Tidal streaming stopped working on mobile data this billing cycle. I checked my phone's data usage, and it showed Tidal had used over 5GB of mobile data-the exact amount as the hotspot data cap. It seems T-Mobile's system was misreporting Tidal's mobile data usage as hotspot data. I tried explaining this to support, but they didn't acknowledge it. They reset the network connection to my phone, which seemed to resolve the issue. I suspect this problem might be related to T-Mobile's "Music Freedom" feature included in my plan, which is supposed to prioritize or differently handle music streaming traffic.146Visto2likes3Comentariosslow 5G
Why is TMobile 5G so slow? The only time my S22 Ultra is even close to 4G speeds is when connected to wifi. On 5G it's worse than 2G. I've had my sim card replaced but no change. I'm sitting in the middle of Scottsdale, AZ and can't hardly get a web page to open. I miss calls and get texts hours or days later. I tried a TMobile store but they are of zero help, all they do is sell stuff. If no one at Tmobile can help fix this then Iam going to switch to Verizon. None of my Verizon friends have this issue, Verizon 5G is super fast.8KViews2likes17ComentariosLagging and throttle
I don't understand why at certain times the internet is great and then by the evening like 5 or 7 pm it gets so slow that we can not watch tv or my son can not play his games online. I do a speed test every night and reset the modem either by unplugging or restart using the T-Mobile app and it helps only for a short while only to go right back into slowing down. They fixed the 2 towers that was down a few monthsago and it went well but then it started again. It is getting very annoying to a point where I will cancel this service because it's never steady. This happen starting at 5 pm and then 7 pm which last up to 8 pm and by the speed test I could see how it struggles to keep the speed up but after 10 pm all the way to the morning it runs 300 mbps at 6 am and right now I just did a speed test and it's 42 mbps download speed. I did like the service until all this lagging and slow speed started and getting tired of rebooting and restarting every day. I have friends who are going through the same thing and want to cancel service just as I do so I hope T-Mobile get on the ball and do something before they start losing customers.Solved411Visto1like6ComentariosIs my neighbor's 4G LTE Cellspot degrading my service?
For reference I live in an apartment building which has acceptable T-Mobile service as I'vegone years without any issues living here. A new neighbor hasmoved in recently, and I noticed that I havebeen experiencingworse call qualityand more calls have beendropping. Our building has a very spotty internet provider with high ping and slow upload speeds. A few things lead me to believe that my new neighborshave installed a T-Mobile 4G LTE Cellspot. I'mfamiliar with the Cellspot because my parents live in a rural area and have one in their home.In the past myphone used to display 5G service regularly, nowinstead itdisplays LTE exclusively. When stepping outside about twenty yards away from the building my 5G service returns. I also receive better speeds when running a speed test outside away from my building. Inside of my building I barely reach 40mbs down and usually below5 mbs upload speed which is important for calls and video calls. Speed and the quality of calls has never been an issue before. But only recently becauseof this I'm needingto leave my hometo make calls. It's frustrating because like I said this is a recent issue and I can pin it to something that's making it worse. I use my T-Mobile service to get away from my terrible internetto begin with. I understand that there is no way to connect to the tower directly because the Cellspot is basically a small tower itself and the phone connects there by default. ¿Cuáles son mis opciones?1KViews1like8Comentariossudden extremely slow home Internet
Extremely slow internet speed and signal speed for home Internet and for phones today called T-Mobile and they claimed towers were good and that it must be my router swapped 3 router today on total 2 of the same model and 1 different no change in crap speed138Visto0likes4ComentariosUpload speeds on phones
I guess I got spoiled with the 25 - 50Mbps upload speeds I was getting on my phone with Verizon because in the 2 weeks I've had T-Mobile I seldom get over 1Mbps at my home. A search revealed others with this problem so I'm wondering if anyone has ever had slow uploads resolved by calling the support number. I guess I should have asked my neighbor before I switched since he told me he's had to drive around town to upload a file if his power is out. I have a great signal and good downloads but I've seen uploads in the 1.0Mbps range and never over 2.115Visto1like4Comentarioshad enough
I left xfinity cause they were robbing me blind tripple bills every month. Get tmobile since i have them for my business phones , and yep being robbed again every month. This time its paying for service im not recieving but half the time. Router keeps loosing signal, takes hrs to get it back, my entire house runs online tvs ,cameras, garage door opener, even my dogs food dishes. I litterally have to reset 15 devices 2 to 3 times a day over this crap. There customer service is 0 help. Looks like its back to xfinity since i told the last person i talked to that what tmobile is doing is a crime charging for services they cannot provide. That there are 10a of thousands tired of it and said i guess i should just go back to xfinity and be robbed for services im at least getting. His answrr was yup you should and hung up. F tmobe they are about to loose my business from private account to my business accounts. Listo87Visto2likes1Comentario
