Re: Unable to connect Chamberlain garage door opener via 5g internet
After many hours of trying all options, talking with the (useless) T-Mobile tech support, and reading T-Mobile forums, seems that not only is there an issue , between what Chamberlain needs and what T-Mobile accommodates this isa moving target and depends on router version andMyQ version. Different people have different solutions.I could not get MyQ to work through either of two standalone WiFi routers that were physically connected to the T-Mobile router to connect, that is unless I had the standalone WiFi router network open - no passcode. Ironically, MyQ works fine through my T-Moblie 5G phone hotspot. So I'm done fooling with this, left the standalone WiFi network open and had the standalone router MAC filter and only accept the MAC addresses of my garage door, phone WiFi, and laptop WiFi & ethernet ports. Note that MyQ is not the only device that does not connect via the out-of-the-box T-Mobile gateway plus the gateway is the worst router, as far as features available,I've come across since setting up my first WiFi network in 2001.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: How to access Expert settings on Home Internet
If the T-Mobile gateway would simply allow DMZ enable/disable all firewall/routingfeatures could be offloaded onto a separate WiFi router - all of which come out of the box with full firewall enabled and no port forwarding. Exception have to be configured into it.9Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: How to access from second ethernet port to home network on the first ethernet port
Glad this helps. If you manually put in a 192.168.12.x address in your Asus router instead of a randomly assigned address from T-Mobile gateway, you can put in a persistent option in your laptop route statement to have this route up after all restarts. I recommend192.168.12.254, T-Mobile should not assign this address to any other device.9Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Honeywell wifi thermostat not able to connect
Of courseT-Mobile support points their finger at the device and not the gateway. I tried several iterations of WiFi networks within the T-Mobile gateway, but could not connect my EcoNet device. I have a cheap Wavlink extender for my backyard that connects to the T-Mobile gateway that my EcoNet can see. EcoNet connects fine to this extender. My T-Mobile service is great, router is quite poor in options, local connectivity, and standards. Likely, I will ultimately connect a real WiFi router to the ethernet port of the T-Mobile gateway and shutdown the WiFi on the T-Mobile. Can use conventional WiFi router and extenders or spend more and put in mesh network routers.8Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Ruud Thermostat will not connect.

Your T-Mobile gateway will give a 192.168.12.x address to your Asus Router for it's WAN port using DHCP, you can also manually assign an address so it is always constant, won't change. To get your laptop to talk to your devices on the Asus wireless router you will need to add a route statement in your laptop for network 192.168.50.0/24 via Asus Router WAN IP address 192.168.12.x38Visto1like0Comentarios
